Manchester United may still be uncertain about the defender they want to sign this summer, but their former player, Louis Saha has given them a hint on who they should be chasing after. United manager Olé Gunnar Solksjær has made it clear that he wants to sign new players in both the attacking and defensive department this summer and the club have been working behind the scenes to make sure that they grant the Norwegian manager his wish.
Sevilla defender Jules Kounde, Atalanta star Christian Romero, and Real Madrid duo Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane have all been mentioned as the likely candidates that will be walking through the entry door at Old Trafford as Solksjær wants a very strong and commanding choice that will become Harry Maguire’s new partner at the heart of the United defense.
However, Saha says they should not bother about anyone else except Varane. According to the former Manchester United striker, the Red Devils should be looking to sign French World Cup winner Varane because he is quick and can become a very useful tool for the club during their counterattacks. Saha said that Varane is good in the air because of his height and can be useful in his and the opponent’s box during games and that they should do everything to land him from Madrid this summer.
